so i took some time off blogging. mostly because i didn't have time and then because my apartment got broken into and my computer was stolen (hmm, yeah, my life sucked some major donkey balls for a minute there). and just when i think i had everything back on track... everything falls apart, AGAIN.
so in 2008, i will continue rebuilding my life. i need to get myself to a place where i feel safe and secure. i need financial and mental stability. i am at a point where i think i can achieve that. all i need is to put in the hard work.
so blogging will keep me sane. i will talk about the funny, insane and mundane things in my life and also the happenings in the world around me. i may rant and rave at some points, but the rebulding process will be partially focused on keeping those moments to a minimum. i will discuss music (since it is a driving factor in my life) and if it gives you ideas as to what is new and great out there, then i am glad to be of some help.
this is mostly theraputic and for my entertainment only. if anyone gets a kick out of it, then by all means, continue reading :)

life updates...
1) haven't bought any new shoes (BIG accomplishment for me!)
2) came close to killing someone; well more than one someone (but that's normal; no big change there)
3) certain parts of my life are STILL out-of-control (working on fixing them)
4) still can't get that certain someone Outta My System (got that song playing a lot) and he doesn't seem to wanna get me out of his either
5) thinking about going back to school full-time (still afraid of that big step)
6) house is finally clean
7) so is the truck
8) may make a weekend trip north to check on my Nae Nae
9) may go to Penn Relays this year
10) got E-money coming into town for Memorial Day (with the possibility of Nae and A-Boogie also)
11) got possession of 3 teenagers (18, and two 16 year olds) for the WEEK of Fourth of July (more on that one later; it deserves it own post)

i'm finally ready to admit...
that i have a problem.
i have a shoe thing. i go into stores to "look" at shoes and walk out of the store with 2 or more pairs at a time. i try not to spend too much, and i usually succeed. but i NEED to STOP buying shoes! perfect example... i have 2 pairs of 9 West black sling-backs that are pretty much identical except for a small detail here and there. of all my heels, only 3 of them are brown. all the 20 some odd others, are black. all are no less then 3 inches high. i have open-toed peek-a-boos, strappy sandals, stilettos and pointy toed pumps. and that doesn't include the flats, sneakers/tennis shoes and boots. what i have with me here in Miami is only a small fraction of what i used to have. i think knee surgery helped control the addiction because i couldn't wear a lot of my shoes. now, the fascination has returned... with a vengance.
now that i know i have a problem and admitted to the obsession... i can begin working my way through recovery. NO MORE NEW SHOES... well, unless it's absolutely necessary!
i'll let y'all know how the 12-step program goes, once i figure out the steps ;)

first time, in a long time...
it's been a while since i blogged. finally decided to give up the myspace blog. realized that there were wackos on there, plus on here, i don't have pics up and you will only know who i am if i tell you ;)
so... if you know me, this will be more of the same. if you don't know me, well... i'll try not to be so harsh, at first :)
i will only cuss when the situation warrants it and i will try to keep the attacks on stupidity light-hearted. they may be plentiful, but i will have fun with it.
so let's kick back and enjoy the ride...
